Supervisory authority and professional regulation

DocMedX is an information society service. It connects patients with independent doctors and pharmacies and provides information about conditions and treatments. It does not practise medicine, does not dispense medicinal products and is not a healthcare provider. For content placed on the platform by partners and users, DocMedX acts as an intermediary service within the meaning of the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065).

Consultations are carried out by independently licensed doctors, who are subject to the professional regulation and medical association of the jurisdiction in which they are registered. Medicines are dispensed by regulated partner pharmacies under the pharmacy law of their jurisdiction. Each partner's registration details are shown in their profile on the platform.

Online dispute resolution

The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board within the meaning of the German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act (VSBG).

Liability for content and links

As a service provider we are responsible for our own content on these pages under the general laws. We are not obliged to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information, or to investigate circumstances that indicate unlawful activity. Our pages contain links to external websites over whose content we have no influence. Responsibility for that content always lies with its provider or operator. The linked pages were checked for possible legal infringements at the time of linking, and no unlawful content was apparent. Permanent monitoring of linked pages is not reasonable without concrete evidence of an infringement; we will remove such links promptly if we become aware of one.
