Accessibility statement

Our target

DocMedX Ltd is working towards conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and with the corresponding requirements of EN 301 549 (the European accessibility standard referenced by the European Accessibility Act).

This site is not yet fully conformant. The status below is partial conformance: the issues found in our most recent assessment have been fixed, but manual screen-reader and assisted-technology testing of every user journey is still outstanding. We will update this statement, and the conformance claim in it, once that testing is complete.

What we have done

Every page has a landmark structure (header, navigation, main, footer), a unique descriptive title and a skip-to-main-content link.

All interactive controls are real buttons, links and form fields with accessible names, keyboard operation and a visible focus indicator.

Text and interface colours meet the 4.5:1 (or 3:1 for large text) contrast minimum.

Form fields have programmatic labels, correct input types and autocomplete values; errors are identified in text, associated with their field and announced to assistive technology.

The medical questionnaire uses grouped radio and checkbox controls with legends, an accessible progress indicator, and announces each question change and every saved, error and success state.

Animations respect the operating system's reduced-motion preference.

Known limitations

We are aware of the following, and none of it should be read as conformant yet:

Manual testing with NVDA (Windows/Chrome) and VoiceOver (macOS and iOS/Safari) across the full patient journey has not yet been completed.

The doctor consultation, identity and age verification, checkout and payment steps rely in part on third-party components. We have not yet independently verified their keyboard, screen-reader and mobile accessibility, and we do not rely on their vendors' own claims.

Reflow and zoom behaviour at 200% and 400% has not been verified on every page.

Older articles in the Knowledge Centre may contain images without a full text alternative.

Automated accessibility checks are not yet enforced in our build pipeline.

Assessment method

Self-assessment carried out by the DocMedX development team on 8 September 2026, combining an automated audit of the rendered pages (landmarks, names, roles, labels, colour contrast computed in sRGB, and WCAG 2.2 target-size checks) with a manual review of the component source code.

This assessment did not include testing with screen readers or with users of assistive technology.
